Association of Manufacturers and Formulators of Enzyme Products

Represents the European enzyme industry and publishes material on enzyme safety, labelling, manufacturing and regulation. Its stated member-product scope covers food, feed and technical uses such as detergents and biofuels, and explicitly excludes enzymes for pharmaceutical use. Its positions represent industry interests and do not replace official authorization. Geography: Europe; Brussels, Belgium.

American Cleaning Institute

Represents US cleaning-product manufacturers, formulators, ingredient suppliers and related businesses. It jointly sponsored the 2025 guidance on assessing risks of enzyme-containing consumer products with A.I.S.E. The report establishes a guidance-publishing role; it does not endorse a product or guarantee that a formulation is safe. The publisher restricts copying the full report. Geography: United States; Washington, DC.

Detergents Europe, formerly A.I.S.E.

Represents the European cleaning and hygiene products industry and publishes guidance for companies using enzymes. Its history records the change from A.I.S.E. to Detergents Europe in 2026. Its enzyme resources include safe handling, training and risk-assessment guidance. Industry guidance is not approval of a particular product. Geography: Europe; Brussels, Belgium.
